Bemidji Curling Club
Board of Directors Meeting
December 8th, 2009
Call to Order: the meeting was called
to order at 6:16 by President Chase Jackson.
Present: Chase Jackson, Doug Underthun,
Aaron Stodgell, Aaron Tasa, Jay Seitz, John Faulkner, Evonne McKinzie,
Pete Fenson.
Absent: Eric Fenson.
Approve Prior Minutes:
Presentations by Guests: There were no
members who wished to address the board.
General Manager’s Report:
- One of the compressors is broken. Pete has made arrangements
for repair by Higgins Heating at an estimated cost of $530.December
13th Concordia will be having a Christmas Party
Committee Reports
Finance: Aaron reported that last year’s
income tax report was filed and that the $10,000 line of credit
has been paid off.
Old Business:
- Kitchen: Clyde Horlick submitted a list
of items with a total price of $213. Aaron Stodgell made a motion
to authorize $300 to be spent on kitchen supplies, seconded
by John Faulkner. Motion carried.
- Junior Nationals: a proposal was made at
the last meeting by Terry Matson to sell commemorative cups/mugs
at the even with a discount to purchaser on the cost of beverages.
Doug made a motion to sell beer for $2 and pop for $.50 to purchasers
of the cups /mugs. Motion seconded by Aaron Tasa and carried
New Business:
- Discussion on raffle to sell television and use proceeds
to purchase a new one. Aaron Stodgell made a motion to sell
tickets for $2 each or 3 for $5. Second by Doug, motion carried.
- We have received a small claims court summons brought by Ronald
Gervais from Mankato for a refund of the entry fee paid for
the Senior National tournament. Decision of the Board is to
contest the action.
Next Meeting and Adjournment:
Meeting adjourned at 7:18. Next meeting will be Tuesday, January
12th at 6:00 p.m.
